The past two years have been hard on us. We were forced to lock ourselves in our homes and avoid physical contact with others for the sake of safety. Celebrating Undas through “Virtual Dalaw” has been our norm for the past two years when we offered flowers, candles, and even prayers through digital means. We had famous personalities expressing their thoughts, sharing their views, singing inspirational songs, and reciting poems to alleviate the feelings of those who lost their loved ones in the pandemic and other family members who have earlier gone to infinity and beyond.
More than two years after, Himlayang Pilipino Memorial Park once again re-opened its doors to the public for Undas 2022. As expected, thousands of visitors flocked to the Park to visit their dearly departed, reigniting the tradition of Filipino families gathering to spend time and honor the people whom they consider as their personal “heroes”. Nonetheless, amidst this excitement and celebration, Himlayang Pilipino made sure that the proper health and safety protocols mandated by the Department of Health and the Quezon City Government were strictly enforced.
For this year’s celebration, Himlayang Pilipino hosted a Halloween “Trick or Treat” event for kids which was held at the Bahay Kubo site. The kids were able to display their creativity by dressing up in their spooky Halloween costumes. They were given an unforgettable experience as they received loot bags filled with goodies, toys, and other surprises.
Coinciding with the commemoration of Undas 2022 is the launching of Himlayang Pilipino’s new product and services, the memorial chapels, and crematorium inside the newly constructed “Tahanan ng Alaala” building. An open house was held where guests were given a tour by our Customer Service Representative of the facilities and services that are available. We consider “Tahanan ng Alaala” your home as you bid farewell to your departed loved ones in a solemn and dignified manner to honor the “heroes” in your lives.
